Tohill and his Rallycross Rebels team were back in business in the FIA European Rallycross Championship. In wet & muddy conditions all weekend Tohill drove a superb A Final to take a lights to flag victory. This was the Irishmans sixth overall victory of his career at European level.

Derek Tohill (Dublin) wound up his season competing in the final round of the 2011 MSA British Rallycross Championship. The British Championship made a welcome return to Croft circuit near Darlington in the North of England. Rallycross had been sidelined at this venue for the past couple of years due to restrictions with the circuits use.

Derek & the Rallycross Rebels took a fantastic lights to flag victory at ERC France in Dreux close to Paris. The Irishman had a close battle with young Swede Anton Marklund also driving a Ford Fiesta MK.7. This victory leaves Derek second in the overall points standings after 2 rounds in the 2012 European Rallycross Championship.

A wet & wild Lydden Hill, Kent in England greeted Derek and the Rallycross Rebels Team. Tohill dominated the qualifying heats and placed the MK.7 Fiesta on pole position for the A Final. A first corner tangle with Norwegain David Nordgard resulted in Tohill loosing both time and the balance of the Fiesta. The Irishman managed to fight back and finish on the podium in third place overall.

Derek had a positive start to the year, winning all 3 heats and putting his MK.7 Fiesta on Pole Position for the A Final. In trecherous conditions on a wet and rutty track led to a first corner incident relegating Derek to 4th place but he fought back to claim the final podium position and 3rd place overall.
